About Me

Hi, my name is Stefanie. I am a Year 2 student currently pursuing a Diploma in Arts and Theatre Management at Republic Polytechnic. I have a growing interest in marketing. Particularly in how creative strategies and visuals can be used to engage audiences and build meaningful connections. I am someone who learns best through hands-on experiences and take the time to observe and understand the world around me. Being an active listener also allows me to communicate effectively and work well in team settings. I am open to feedback and always looking for ways to improve and grow. I am currently involved in STA Club, where I serve as both the Head of Logistics and the Public Relations Officer. As Head of Logistics, I am responsible for planning, tracking, and managing all event related items. This role has helped me become more organised and dependable, especially when working under tight timelines. I also guide and support my juniors by reviewing their drafts and providing constructive feedback. As the Public Relations Officer, I design publicity materials such as teaser posts, countdowns, logos, and stickers. I ensure that each design aligns with the event’s theme and captures the attention of our target audience. In this role, I’ve gained hands-on experience using Adobe Illustrator, particularly for tracing and using clipping masks to add texture and detail to my visuals. In school, I’ve built up my skills in Adobe Photoshop by working on techniques like clipping masks, layer masking, and double exposure effects, which have helped me improve how I edit and present visuals. I’ve also used Adobe Express to create simple animated EDMs, allowing me to bring movement and energy into my digital content. Additionally, I’ve explored the use of generative AI tools to enhance my designs by crafting effective prompts that generate relevant and visually cohesive assets. This has allowed me to experiment more creatively and speed up my workflow without compromising quality. I also have hands-on experience using Adobe XD to redesign and improve user interfaces. I’ve used it to revamp an existing website by refining layout, improving navigation flow, and creating wireframes and interactive prototypes. Through this process, I focused on enhancing the user experience by applying basic UX principles such as consistency, readability, and intuitive navigation. It taught me how design choices directly affect user engagement and accessibility. These experiences have given me a well-rounded foundation in creative design, visual communication, and event planning. I look forward to further developing my skills and exploring how marketing, design, and technology can come together to create impactful arts experiences.
